The Last Ride is a new song by Sidhu Moose Wala. The legendary crime scene where American rapper Tupac was assassinated in his BMW in 1996 is featured in the song, which was released in May. Regrettably, the singer suffered the same fate as his song.
Sidhu Moose Wala is one of the most popular and known singers in the Punjab music industry. The 28-year-old rapper had become one of the most well-known faces of Punjab’s flourishing hip-hop scene within only four years. His voice can be heard on DJ turntables at Delhi’s flashy parties, creaky stereos at rural India’s tea stalls, and every potential radio channel in Punjab.
He released his first song, ‘G Wagon.’ In 2018, he rose to fame with his song ‘So High.’ Moosewala later established his own record company, 5911 Records. The majority of his songs focused on the Jatt Sikh community. This tragedy hit the fans on a personal level, people were shocked to hear about this incident.
The assassination has sparked a political uproar in the state, with opposition politicians criticizing the government. According to state police, a gangster from Canada was responsible for the attack. Moose Wala’s family has denied this, accusing the police of failing to do their work adequately. In the midst of it all, protests broke out in surrounding villages as fans and followers of the singer took to the streets, and called on the government to issue a call for calm. The case has now been referred to a high court for investigation by the state’s chief minister.
