The actor-director passed away on Wednesday in Delhi. He was 66. According to the preliminary postmortem report, cardiac arrest was the cause of death. His death has sent shockwaves throughout the Hindi film industry. Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Abhishek Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonu Sood, and Rakul Preet Singh were among the Bollywood celebrities who mourned the death of the iconic comic star.

In a tweet in Hindi, Anupam Kher wrote, “I know ‘dying is the closing fact of this world,’ but  I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive.

Such an abrupt end to a 45-year friendship!! Without you, SATISH, life will never be the same! “Shanti! Om Shanti!” Kaushik had a heart attack while driving to a hospital in New Delhi. On Thursday, his body will be transported to Mumbai.
