MTV Roadies is a reality show for teenagers or youth of the country. It premiered in 2003 and is broadcast on MTV India. The show is also available on Voot.
The show’s concept basically deals with a group of participants going to various locations and participating in various tasks assigned to test their teamwork, mental strength, physical strength, and much more.
History:
Raghu Ram, Rajiv Lakshman, and RJ Amit created the show.
In 2014, they left the show. When interviewed they said they had done enough to popularize the show and it was the next generation’s turn to give it more popularity. In the history of Indian industry, it is among the longest-running show with a time frame of 19 years.
There are various ways through which the participants are eliminated such as vote-outs, and vote-ins. And the most interesting portions are the games and twists that it brings throughout the journey. The contestant who survives the vote-outs, in the game is ultimately crowned the winner. Roadies are just another survival of the fittest show. Roadies is a travel, adventure, and drama.
Selection Performance:
Applicants must first complete a questionnaire before being invited to a Group Conversation. The application includes basic questions such as Why, How, and some personal questions. These interview sessions are known for being intense and attempting to reveal the participant’s true nature. These interviews are more abusive and the interviewer wants the interviewee to put up ab honest answer.

There have many popular names as the winner of Roadies who earned fame and gave a kick start to their career. Names such as:
Season 1- Rannvijay Singha; now the host of roadies and splitsvilla;
Season 2 – Ayushmann Khurana; popular actor which movies such a Dream girl, Andhadhun, etc;
Season 11 – Nikhil Sachdeva;
Season 12 – Prince Narula; Successfully won the winner title of Roadies,Splitvilla and Big boss;
Season X4 – Balraj Singh.
