PM new mission – Mission Life

According to Gandhi- Mission Life

“Nature is everything to fulfil the need but not the greed”

Today human being in their greed extort nature and exploits their resources in order to get more and more benefit from nature and even nature is also not less than any karma here it will pay you back. If you today harm nature then nature will equally harm you.

You can see climate change, and hazardous and poisonous pollution in November month, not only this but the danger of famine, scarcity, flood, drought, food scarcity and crop deterioration are equally concerning points whereas this environmental degradation resulted in diseases like asthma, weakness in eyesight, skin cancer, cancer etc.

In order to prevent human life and the environment our honourable prime minister launched mission life.

What is mission life?

Mission Life, where “life” stands for “lifestyle for environment,” aims to promote individual actions including turning off car engines at stoplights, turning off faucets when not in use, and converting to more durable plastic bag substitutes.

Mission LiFE is envisioned as an India-led worldwide mass movement that will encourage both individual and group action to conserve and preserve the environment. The idea was first put up by the Prime Minister at COP 26. At the event, the Mission Document was made public and the Prime Minister and UNSG presented the LiFE logo and motto.

At the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced “Mission LiFE” (Lifestyle for Environment), a new programme for sustainable and healthy lifestyles, in the presence of U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. PM’s new mission – is Mission Life.

Why this mission?

The Prime Minister cited climate change and global warming as the greatest threats facing humanity and the world, and he emphasised that Mission LiFE makes the battle against climate change democratic by allowing everyone to contribute in their own way.

At the ceremony, Dr S. Jaishankar, the Union Minister for External Affairs, and Bhupendra Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, were also present. Mr Guterres presented the LiFE logo and tagline as well as the Mission Document.

Gujarat was the first state in the nation to start taking efforts in the direction of renewable energy and climate protection, therefore the launch of Mission LiFE there is noteworthy. Gujarat has implemented water conservation schemes for the state’s drought-affected areas, such as mounting solar panels on canals.

What motive of this mission?

“Lifestyle for Environment” is the motto of Mission LiFE, according to PM Modi. “It connects the people’s abilities to safeguard the planet and educates them on how to use those abilities more effectively. By democratising the battle against climate change, Mission LIFE enables everyone to participate to the best of their abilities. It motivates us to take all necessary steps in our daily lives to protect the environment. It holds that altering our way of life can help conserve the environment.”

Significance of mission

According to him, the mission strengthens the P3 model’s Pro Planet People philosophy. “Mission Life unifies the people of the world as supporters of the planet, bringing them together.”

“The launch of Mission LIFE in Gujarat is significant because it was the first state in the nation to initiate measures in the direction of renewable energy and climate protection,” said PM Modi, adding that initiatives like solar power plants, placing panels on canals, or conserving water in drought-prone areas were intended to prevent environmental disasters while establishing the trends for sustainable development.

In order to help the world combat climate change and advance a sustainable way of life in order to meet the sustainable development objectives established by the U.N., PM Modi termed Mission LiFe as an international endeavour by India.

On a three-day visit to India, U.N. chief Antonio Guterres attended the program’s debut in the western Gujarat state and expressed the hope that “the world can expand” the emphasis on more ecological living.

Climate specialists are still unsure of how the initiative will turn out while seeing the potential benefits of such a scheme to reduce emissions.

According to Nagraj Adve of Teachers Against the Climate Crisis, a group that advocates for environmental protection, “at a personal level, Mission Life is a welcome measure, both ethically and environmentally.”
