Ashadhi Ekadashi
The eleventh moonlight day really (Ekadashi) of much of the brilliant fortnight ago (Shukla paksha) of either the Hindu months of Azhadha, however, is Shayani Ekadashi, alternatively recognized, called Maha-Ekadashi (June – July). Vaishnavas, believers of Lord Vishnu, this same Hindu guardian goddess, have a particular place in their hearts on that sacred day.

And on that day, believers visit representations of all of Vishnu but instead Lakshmi, spend the evening reciting hymns, make hunger but also accept commitments to somehow be kept even during chaturmas, this same holy multiple intervals of monsoon rains.
