India is embroiled in a diplomatic crisis above a BJP staffer’s disrespect of Prophet Muhammad

India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been engulfed in an international diplomatic whirlpool since the suspension of two top speakers for reportedly uttering derogatory words toward Prophet Muhammad.

According to Bharatiya Janata party periodicals & press organizations, Bharatiya Janata party local spokeswoman Nupur Sharma was kicked out of the group’s political membership on Sunday for comments made throughout a recent leaders debate, or the BJP’s Delhi electronic division leader Naveen Kumar Jindal was indeed kicked out.

Sharma was accused of disrespecting the prophet or his lady Aisha in such a current Television debate. Following the outcry over the production’s comments, Sharma’s buddy Jindal was claimed to just have published a now-deleted anti-prophets statement, that upset many too though.

The statements are criticized for inciting rioting in one Indian locality, and also requests for such jail of a spokesperson in India.

Just on following Sunday, India’s diplomats in Kuwait and Qatar were summoned to gather official protest notes in response to the comments, although Pakistan’s foreign secretary issued a note condemning the “very insulting criticism” and the BJP’s response.

In a statement, the worldwide ministry remarked, “Those unacceptable statements have profoundly insulted the sensitivities of billions of Muslims across all of the world.”

“The BJP’s attempts at clarification or prolonged or shallow disciplinary actions against such individuals rarely alleviate the Muslim world’s grief and sadness,” the secretary said.

As per the QNA corporate news service, Qatar’s Ministry of Overseas Affairs summoned the Indian envoy to provide an appropriate response “expressing the State of Qatar’s unhappiness and complete condemnation and repudiation of the disputed words.”

Qatar applauds the BJP’s stance and removal of employees, but it wants the Indian government to offer a social apology and condemn the comments.

“The State of Qatar asks that the Indian government swiftly repudiate similar sentiments and openly apologize to all Muslims across the world,” said Majed Mohammed Al Ansari, a spokesperson for such Overseas Ministries.

As per Reports, Kuwait phoned the Indian consulate and said it had sent him a warning note condemning and opposing the Bharatiya Janata Party lawmaker’s comments.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the world’s second-largest overseas organization after the UN, with such an aggregate enrollment of about 1.8 billion individuals, has indeed endorsed the idea of condemnation.

The 57-member country group issued a statement saying, “The Executive Secretariat of a Council of Islamic Harmony categorically rejects and repudiates ongoing atrocities perpetrated against the Prophet Muhammad, Harmony Be On Every.”

According to a letter from the overseas ministers, Saudi Arabia criticized the sentiments, calling them “derogatory” and urged “consideration for communities and customs.”

‘Cost to bear on such a global scale’

The BJP had always profited effectively from “mobility” against Muslims in India, as per Al Jazeera’s Saba Naqvi, a Delhi-based correspondent.

“Unfortunately, within this situation, there’d be a worldwide penalty to endure,” Naqvi said.

“Although India had one of the world’s largest Muslim populations, these would have drawn the focus of such wider world,” she continued.

Together in the letter sent out on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata declared that it embraces various religions and “strongly opposes” disrespect to religious icons of all professions.

“Whatever theory which it disrespects or insults such a community or creed is also opposed by the Bjp.” The BJP responded, “The Bharatiya Janata Party would not endorse such persons or ideology.”

The event has indeed upset Arab advertising system supporters, who have previously called for a simple ban of Indian merchandise, denounced the growth in anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim attitudes, and accused India of copying France and China in spreading Islamophobia.

For 3rd year in a row, the US Commission on International Religious Freedom has recommended the US Secretaries of States to add India here to the category of “countries of particular concern” when it comes to religious expression.

“The Indian government has escalated their endorsement and execution of legislation that damage Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Dalits, and some other religious plurality over time, particularly those that advance a Hindu-nationalist storyline,” the committee noted within the annual assessment.

As per a Press release, Jindal, her expelled club member, indicated on Twitter that he’d have disputed various assertions made against Hindu goddesses: “I merely enquired, yet this would not indicate that I am anti-religious.”
